Founded in 1998, Macchiato is an Australian-born brand with a deep Italian heart. Our mission is simple: to create vibrant, casual dining spaces where the warmth of the Mediterranean meets the energy of Sydney. Our mantra, "Share it all and say it loud," reflects our belief that great food is best enjoyed with high spirits and even better company.

What began as a trendy Italian café has evolved into a powerhouse of woodfire pizza and artisan coffee roasting. We continue to innovate through our Express Pronto locations, bringing quality to those on the move, and our macchiARTo initiative—a fortnightly gallery that showcases local young artists. At Macchiato, we don’t just serve meals; we celebrate Life, Art, and Woodfired Italian cuisine.

At 18, Elias has become the friendly face across what we do — from restaurant service to takeaway window moments to the coffee side of the business. He represents the next generation of MACCHIATO: modern, confident, and genuinely proud of the craft — especially when it comes to espresso and barista work. If you’ve seen an espresso poured with focus, milk textured with care, and a smile that makes a regular feel remembered — you’ll understand what we mean.
