Eva Jackson studied graphic design at Randwick Tech in the mid-1970s and has continued developing her drawing and painting practice ever since. Her creative growth has been shaped by watercolour studies in the USA, colour techniques with Nina Matthewson, and printmaking with Susan Baran. Years of textile work as a quilter also inform her artistic approach. Working mainly with acrylics, oils and mixed media, she draws inspiration from the local environment. Eva has exhibited widely, received multiple awards, held a solo show, and completed commissions including book illustrations, portraits and landscapes.
